PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL GOALS and OBJECTIVES
We cannot live a conflict-free life. When we think about conflicts we tend to
immediately think about the harm that it causes, but seldom think about
conflict as being useful. How we resolve or manage conflict is important to
building deep and meaningful relationships, particularly in an organizational
setting where collaboration is a key element to successful and creative
problem-solving.
OVERVIEW OF CONTENT: We will have the great pleasure of a guest lecturer
via online discussions. Prof. Giancarlo
Polenghi from Florence, Italy, has graciously agreed to collaborate with me,
bringing an international perspective to the topic. Prof. Polenghi has co-authored three books,
along with Fabio Carlo Ferrari, J.D., on the topic of Conflict Management. Study
the assigned chapter(s) in your textbook before class so you will be prepared
to discuss the topics.
